Dangerous Prayers

I definitely need a bold, positive, and revived approach in my prayer life. God is worthy of so much more from me.

I love prayer time. And yet, because it can be emotional, revealing, and challenging, I sometimes resist. I want to lose myself in prayer in the early morning but, in truth, often procrastinate until late afternoon. And then I sit down to talk to God and my world gets lighter and brighter and I feel His love. I continually question what part of me resists this utter joy.

I not only seek dangerous prayers, but I also long to be a dangerous Christian, someone who can make a difference in this world and help bring in lost souls.  I tell the Lord I trust Him. Yet in dangerous situations, I often exhibit fear.  I repent immediately and intentionally focus on faith. 

How easily we create our prayer time.  Our relationship with God. Our commitment to loving others. And yet, that still small voice of the Holy Spirit calls us ever higher.  To more and more and more. More conversation. More adoration. More surrender. More devotion.

We evolve in our adoration and obedience to our God. Who I am today bears small resemblance to who I was when I first surrendered my life to God. I praise Him for each change, for each victory and for the line upon line transitions I have made.  Dangerous prayers are my goal! More audacious. Bolder. Outrageous prayers. For others. For the world. For returned sanity. For Revival! Oh, I do pray for revival!

Lord God, I adore the danger places within the church.  That edge of the fence where I walk, straddling safe prayers, risky prayers, and seeking prayers that ignite revival. Imagine praying for revival in work surroundings.  Often at my company Ice Chips Candy, we have seen the kitchen staff praying for healings, for Salvation, for integrity, and we’ve seen miracles.  Thank You Lord, for allowing Your Presence to bring hope and answered prayers.  Help Salvation be more important than sales, righteousness a bigger goal than profits, and most of all Lord, let us know furthering Your Kingdom is the most important job any of us ever accept.

And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.  2 Corinthians 1:11
