True Spirituality
This is the challenge! I choose to be more like Christ. If that means two hours or just one hour of conversation with him daily I will do it. I refuse to allow the world’s fear and panic to alter who I am in Christ
I long to be totally committed. I know for me, time spent talking with God is vital. The more often we talk, the longer I linger, the deeper the connection. Once, one time ONLY, I reached a level so sweet I desire to go there again. And yet, so far, I have not committed my life to that level of communion with my God. But I will.
God says, “Trust me!” Such a simple command. And so very difficult to master! To tune in to God we need to tune out the world. It really helps! Try it for a few days. Television news is like torture. It drips unpleasantness and guilt and unethical goals into our ears every hour on the hour. This world is currently designed to siphon God right out of our lives. Be careful every day! Filter what voices you listen to.
Learning to operate in the gift God designed you with is important. We often see people operating in the gift they want to have but when people operate in their special God given gift there is a huge difference.
We live in an upside down world where good is called bad and things we’ve always been taught were bad are celebrated. We must stay centered and focused on the Word. All other “truths” come and go. We hate sin but love the sinner. When I see someone whose actions make me angry, I try to look at them again through God’s eyes. It helps
We find confidence and joy once we acknowledge God’s love and protection, His good will for us, is an absolute. The confidence to walk through this broken world is an incredible reflection of His love.
God, I am lost in Your love right now, kept safe in divine protection. You guide me but You also comfort me and train me to a Spiritual level that is vigorous and life changing. We follow Jesus’ example for prayer and many other disciplines. For pure Spirit, we watch You. Your promises never fail, Your love exceeds anything the world can imagine. Help me stay focused on Spiritual energy.
For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24
