Faith should be our banner. When troubles come, if we laugh in the face of tribulation and we cry out to God, others will witness our reaction. When God provides, they will be moved to follow us in our beliefs. People do not surrender because we show them we are strong. They surrender when we show them our God is strong!
It is a great truth our behavior under stress is our most powerful testimony. If we fall to pieces, victims of circumstance and fate, we are no different than non-believers. When we drop to our knees, pray, staying calm, people see our hope, faith and confidence. In countless Scriptures, God assures us He is with us. He and the Angel Army. We are invited to shelter in the shadow of His wings. Climb up on His lap. He is comfort. He is the answer we seek. Sometimes people think following Jesus means a life free of conflict and problems. It does not. Problems equate to growth, to a deeper trust and understanding God’s promises are always “Yes” and “Amen.” Whether we face financial issues, relationship problems, or the wearying challenges that come with parenthood, people wrestle with conviction when they see how troubles increase our faith.
Dear God, I am so thankful you invite me into Your presence. You are my Father, my safe place, and I adore the time we spend together. Help me willingly hand all my troubles to You. Thank You for letting Your Son pay for my sins when He died on that cross. Thank you for knowing me before I was born, for loving me before You knew me, and for knowing I would choose You as my friend. I pray my life will aways be a witness to others, making them long for the peace, and certainty they see in me. Bless my family and help them walk the same walk I do, trusting You, following in the footprints of Jesus, trusting you will protect and bless us, no matter what we face.
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13
