Cultivate Sacred Soil
It is God’s plan that we surrender all ego and live following the advice and wisdom in the Word. Love induces surrender. Surrender induces love. Walk with the gentle heart of Jesus, with a resolve so strong people recognize you will never compromise His will or His way.
It is not easy to stay totally plugged in to Gods will and direction. It is life changing when we achieve that. Rest from the toil of life. Life pushes, presses, ekes its way into our minds and souls, making us feel we can’t rest, can’t sit down, and cannot take a break. But we can. We should. We have to in order to function at our best. God created Sundays as a day of rest. We should acknowledge that gift with gratitude and take time to obey His wisdom.
There are precious moments in life, small miracles and large, where we sense and when we know He has touched us. Either directly, through a story, or we have seen an actual miracle. Use those memories to defeat any doubts. Hide them away where they can be re-examined and treasured again and again.
Pruning is never easy. I have often wondered if even a tree feels the pain of pruning. To grow, to refine, to understand and to become the person God designed us to be, we require lessons and growth and both those things respond to pruning.
We thrive in relationship to one another. Hearts leap with joy of seeing an old friend. When we love, live and forgive others, we are exposed to the opportunity to be more like Jesus. Be brave enough to be cultivated. Sometimes our faults need to be examined. To know an area of growth is an opportunity to become more like Jesus. Change is never easy but, like cleaning a closet or putting on a new roof, change can bring satisfaction and wisdom.
Lord God, Thank You for creating me with sacred soil. Your love and Your perfect design have given me every chance to accomplish all You’ve called me to do. I am grateful for a life of purpose, for a chance to leave the world better because You called me specifically.
