Learning To Tell Your God Story
You and God have a story. A history. Owning our pre-Jesus memories helps us deal with others who have yet to surrender to God. We do not approve of their sins or agendas, but we obey the commandment to love others as we love ourselves. It is our mercy and grace that can break through their rebellion and lead them to Salvation.
There are some moments in life we always remember, like the moment we surrendered our lives to Jesus. We remember every detail and sometimes we cry out to God to help us rekindle that passion for Him that was a part of our first love. It has to be the cry of our hearts that we never grow so tired or even jaded that we cease following our Lord with great hunger.
Growth sometimes feels out of reach. Today was stressful. It still happens. Financially. Business wise. Emotionally. Relationally. I had to draw a hard and clear line at work. Noise came at me nonstop when I tried to read the Word and I felt I didn’t understand anything! If God forgives me for this day and He loves me in spite of this day, I am blessed indeed!
There is a great need in our world for our God stories, our testimonies, our evidence of hope, love and peace. We watch the world writhe in confusion, anger, strident and chaotic in unsatisfied chaos. Let us offer the peace they covet, the hope they’ve lost and the path they have shunned in their lives. Lead them with the hope and goodness God bestows extravagantly.
Dearest Lord, You have positioned each of us in favor and opportunity. We see, hear, know and touch all the hungry and lost and wounded. You have given us the prescription pad to send everyone a dose of Jesus. We are blessed to be a blessing. We tell our story, how You took our hands and brought us the calm and peace of an orderly life. Your example of love and Grace and forgiveness changed us from complainers to exclaimers! Thank You, Lord, for Salvation and eternity.
All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son. 1 John 5:10
