Not every Salvation is the same. In some cases, there is instant change. The Word says, in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence.” On the other hand, there are those who try to weave godly living into their pre-Salvation lifestyle.

We’ve heard the expression that says we can’t fit square pegs into round holes. That’s what we get when we try to merge our post-Salvation lives with the lives we lived before. Surrender is surrender. Salvation means we believe Jesus is the Son of God, He was Crucified, dead, and buried. And then He rose again. We agree to follow Him and obey the Word. From that moment on, it matters what we watch. What we hear. Who we hang around with. We cannot compromise God’s rules, laughing at unkind jokes and listening to gossip, or ignoring the ten commandments. What seems like a small offense is actually a way to open our hearts up to harm and danger. It’s the little foxes that ruin the harvest.

It is a huge step in our spiritual life to become born again. If we take it lightly, we set ourselves up for failure. God is an interactive partner once we join the Body of Christ. He speaks to us. He nudges our conscience. We feel His presence. We feel the Holy Spirit and we absolutely get closer to God the more time we spend with Him. Our Salvation is such a great gift. It ensures our eternal time in Heaven, and it builds a true relationship with God.

My Lord God, Thank You for loving me enough to chase me down and invite me to be grafted into Your Kingdom. I long to be an effective witness who tells the story of Jesus’ sacrifice to all who are willing to listen. I repent for the years I wasted before surrendering to You. Help me reach everyone You set before me and let me express pure joy as I tell others what life in the Body of Christ is like.

Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that ruin vineyards. Our vineyards are blooming. Song of Solomon 2:15
