Many people are unaware there is spiritual warfare going on in the heavenlies. In Ephesians 6:12, the Bible says, “This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers, authorities, the powers who govern this world of darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world.”

As we go about life, worrying about gas prices, inflation, and job interviews, we tend to ignore this warfare, unaware the Angel Army and God’s forces are fighting to protect us from evil. We compartmentalize our blessings, thinking attention to small details keeps order and peace in our lives. We quote Scriptures, remembering How God clothes the sparrows and the flowers, how He feeds them and they never have to worry.

If we read the Word daily, reading the entire Bible most years, we know these wars are going on. We are meant to fight our own skirmishes in our homes, churches, schools and towns. When the enemy takes prayer out of schools, legalizes late term abortions, and prefers illegal aliens over US citizens, we are supposed to speak up and defend Christian values. All of the Bible is true. Not just the parts we love to memorize and quote. To survive this great enemy of our Salvation, we need to follow God’s call and join in the battle

Dear Lord, I pray the struggle in the Heavenlies will never be lost. We know Your Angel Army is called to the battle, and the combatants face exhaustion. I am sorry for the times I focus on unimportant details and try to forget about the greater battles crashing through the clouds. Help me stay centered, Lord, on the most important thing. Every battle has the power to win souls and every soul has the power to win battles. Let my prayers cover all the Heavenly warriors facing our enemy.
