It is a sad truth that many people believe the miracles of God have ended. But Scripture tells us God is the same yesterday, today and forever! So Miracles are still available. And if ever the world needed a touch of God’s love and mercy, it would be right now!
In my life, which includes my parent’s lives as well, we have not experienced times like these post Covid years. Division is rampant. Incivility seems more common than courtesy. We have a media that seems determined to stay away from any mention of God. Except when there is a disaster where they can use God to gain ratings. Even this computer is trained by programmers to avoid spelling God. I spell G-O-D and it defaults to Gid. I finally added God to my personal dictionary and can now type His beautiful name. We still see miracles. Babies are still being born, oceans still roll to the shores, and we have northern lights and sunsets. The part I cannot understand is how hard some hearts have grown. All my life I appreciated my great grandmother’s prayers, my grandpa’s stories of how God turned his life around. Today, some young people openly mock God. In translation, to me, they mock those tender souls who spent years covering them with prayer. We need a miracle to bring these youngsters back to us. We need to be the miracle that rescues them from themselves.
Dear Lord, help me pray without ceasing for all our youngsters (and those who are older) who have been lied to and convinced there is no God. Father we bring them before You and we ask Your tender mercies cover them. We ask that Your love, specific and deliberate, would embrace them so totally they cannot deny it. Father, we ask Your love, Your miracles, Your tender mercies and Your outrageous power bring these lost souls running back to You, back home, and back where they belong.
Did God’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God made salvation available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves. Roman 11:11
