Complaining can become a habit. It’s conversation. Commiserating with others. But truthfully, it brings the energy level in a room way down. Be intentional. Choose to be grateful, thankful and positive. We’re blessed when we can remain still and feel the love of God pulsing within. Pure joy. When we focus on the indwelling Holy Spirit, we can and will reflect God’s love. When we focus on ourselves and ego, we reflect on human weakness and thirst for control.

Trusting God and His promises teaches us to know He always makes a way. Remember David? Because he’d killed bears and lions as a shepherd, he believed God would give him victory over Goliath. There are no giants too big for God!

Touching God through daily prayer has changed my life. Baby steps at times, but always progress. In moments where I used to fall apart, I now have victory. These small wins are as huge to me as David’s lions and bears were to him. God loves us more than we deserve. He gives us grace when we falter, hope and tenderness when we’re hurting, and the power to do what He has called us to do. It is a blessing to know God cares and He will provide everything we need.

For Believers, no situation is beyond the power of God! It is a matter of faith that can move mountains and change the world. That level of faith is beyond the baby Christian and leads to life changing power. I wonder sometimes how people who do not have an actual relationship with the Lord go on when things are rough and they're going through trouble. Thank God for God!

Every moment when we are tempted to complain or expect too much, turn to God and thank Him for all the blessings He has given.

Lord God, Thanks for all the times I have acted entitled and You have poured out love on me. Thank You for overlooking my impatience, my earthly sense of time and for sometimes thinking of You as my private Get Out of Jail Free card. Your love calms me. Your goodness humbles me. Help me become a Christian who follows in the steps of Jesus and never fails to show empathy and grace to others.

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. Colossians 3:16
