Sometimes all we can cling to is our faith. And that is enough. Praise God!

It is hard to imagine we will disappear like the flowers at the end of summer. But it’s only sad if we live with an earthly mind. If once we leave, we are living with Jesus for eternity then it isn’t a bad situation at all.

It is delightful to know God has plans for us. Live expectantly. Live knowing God sets surprises around the next corner. He blesses us with the same delight we feel when we bless our children.

Even though He suffered and died on the cross, Jesus was aware of the bigger picture. He knew the goal was Salvation for all mankind and He was willing to pay the price.

As we grow older we lose parents, grandparents and often siblings. It is rough. Blessed is the family that has never lost a child. Still, we trust God and we move on. Believing we have an eternal home with God makes trusting Him and our forever easy!

Human nature tempts us to focus on our own pain. When we think we are suffering we should turn all our energy to finding and helping someone whose circumstance is much worse. Perspective emerges when we look to others and try to help them lift their burden. If it is ever our goal to learn from Jesus’ example that is a good place to start.

There is a joy in knowing hen we mess up (lose our temper, give in to temptation, behave in a way we know to be wrong) Jesus still loves us and He is always interceding on our behalf. I cannot imagine a life without Salvation and that soothing conviction God has got my back.

God, How can I ever thank You enough for Your love, my Salvation, and Your gifts and promises that sustain every area of my life? Like every child who walks taller than they should because they know their Father is bigger than all the other dads, You are the source off my confidence and joy. Help me, dear Lord, be a worthy addition to your Heavenly family.

Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. Psalm 91
