Deep Cleaning
When we find ourselves nitpicking friends or loved ones, we are missing the point of relationship. Love prefers others. Love allows others to be right. Love gives and trusts God for blessings. Alone we fail. With God we overcome. Once we understand His love, and His requirements in our lives, once we realize we are to love others just as we love ourselves, life becomes easier.
The world is a temptress, throwing pretty distractions at us constantly. Commercials advertising cars, houses, clothing and pharmaceutical cures many cannot afford. This can generate feelings of envy or despair. The evening news brings stories both grim and frightening. Day by day, this constant negativity inflicts fear, dependence, and insecurity. All designed to make us depend on our culture as our god.
Beware the yeast!
If we follow Jesus we are salt and light. We don’t give our salt away in places where the response is anger and rejection.
Once we begin to do things God’s way, forgiving every offense, every person, and every situation, we can begin walking in Jesus’ love. Forgiveness helps offenses melt away. Surrender to the love God has shown us and you will find love lights a pathway to peace.
Remember every day, every crisis, we do not walk alone. That is how we become more like Jesus. When we feel alone, it is us who has moved away from God. His promises are ‘yes and amen.’ Hold fast to the things you know and never allow the world to steal the wonder God has gifted to you.
When we stay connected to God, through the Holy Spirit, we stay connected to our life source. Nothing we need will be denied. Things will not magically appear because we crave them but God provides everything we need.
My Lord God, My heart longs to obey You in all things. I long to love others with no judgment. I am sorry for the times I have condemned others for something I have often done myself. I repent, Lord, for listening to the world’s views on work, competition, and advantage. While I know You require love and high standards, I have been tempted at times to use influence or connections to get ahead. I repent for any behavior that makes me feel unclean. Thank You, God, for always making a way that does not need cheating steps or influence. May I aways choose righteousness over advantage.
The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them. Proverbs 11:3
