Sometimes I think when the going gets rough we just slip into auto pilot. What a wasted opportunity. It is at these very moments that God draws close. He puts His hand on your back or grabs your hand in His. This is when He speaks. When nuggets of wisdom roll from His mouth and if you’re attentive, you have the very Word of God falling upon you. A thousand semi good days will pale in comparison to this one perfect moment; this one-on-one schooling God has reserved just for you. Don’t miss it!

God’s words for each of us are unique, personal, and by no means interchangeable. What might look like a similar situation is designed for your life, your generation, your perspective and your talents. Therefore, any challenges you face likely have a lesson created expressly with you in mind. Let’s say you’re an artist. You create massive murals all over the world and your work is seen in all major cities. Artists and other creatives, those displaying public pieces, tend to operate with urban favor. When parties change people change. That puts a wall in front of the call. We wait, pray and petition for support. Auto pilot might not get the answer you need. God can do all things.

Dear God, It seems everything I want to do in the Kingdom of Christ has detractors at this moment. Lord, no one agrees what constitutes art, no one agrees with me or even with each other. I pray Your will be done in all things. Where there is division, I ask for peace. Where there are no funds I pray the wealth of the wicked be laid up for the just. May Your tender mercies and Your love run a ribbon of unity around and through every issue, every stumbling block and every thing that would try to dilute the power of Your almighty Word.

For this reason, take up all the armor that God supplies. Then you will be able to take a stand during these evil days. Once you have overcome all obstacles, you will be able to stand your ground. Ephesians 6:13
