There is a patience we can develop that surpasses logic and what we perceive as “real.” If you have gone to bat ten times and you have struck out each time, your expectations on your 11th ‘at bat’ will likely be grim. But God. He moves at His own pace. He operates in divine timing. He sees a broad and wide world view and He does not move until every detail is in perfect position. Sometimes when I am waiting on a miracle, I see the situation looking a bit like the combination to a safe. All those tumblers must be activated.

In order.

Imagine the details God has to address to orchestrate your victory.. The complexity of a single event relies on or affects several others. It affects people, too. Other lives than the person who is beseeching Heaven for change. We wait because God waits. We smile, breathe and trust Him because we are trained to do just that. It might be passing a bar exam. Getting pregnant with a desperately wanted child. It might be financial or health related. God has woven our lovely world like a priceless tapestry. Enjoy it. Wait for the moments. They can take your breath away.

Lord, Thank You for Your Omnipotence! For wisdom and logic and a love that cares about every small detail. Thank You that my smallest need is not mocked and You consider it with the same love You address earthquakes and fires. In the storms of life, I take shelter in Your arms. I hide beneath Your wings and You are all I shall ever need.
