It is a great comfort to know God never leaves me. No matter what I hear and no matter who tries to dissuade me. He is with me in joy and He is with me in sorrow. He is with me in prosperity and He is with me in want and need. I wasn’t always aware of this truth. I was first saved in front of a Billy Graham television crusade when I was 18. I promptly went back to college and pretty much forgot my commitment. Thankfully God remembered.

I eventually made my way back to church. During several years of Bible studies with my son-in-law Daryl, I kept careful notes of the things I heard and learned. They spoke about the hard times, the traps along our paths, and the pitfalls we fail to see. There are many ways to get lost in our Christian walk and I managed to find several of them. After my 18-year-old conversion, I became a spiritual wanderer. But nothing ever felt like truth until I renewed my relationship with God and He accepted me with open arms. I figured He had given up on me when I wandered away. But He is God! He used those times and those experiences to prepare me with the exact words and experience someone else needed when they hit bottom. Nothing is ever wasted when God gets involved. I am always looking for a good devotional. One that speaks truth. One day as I looked at more than 2,000 study topics I had written while doing Bible studies I knew I was meant to create a Devotional.

Prayer
Lord, thank you for being patient when I went through rebellion. I’m grateful Your love songs always played softly in the back of my mind and my heart, even when I seemed lost. Thank You for Your tender mercies. I pray this Devotional speaks the exact words people need as they seek Your will and Your call over their lives. I pray we all understand Your desire for us is not about punishment but rather love and joy and a life path that leads to redemption. I am grateful it is never too late to give You all I have left to give.

God will do this, for He is faithful to do what He says, and He has invited you into partnership with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. —1 Corinthians 1:9 NLT
