Speaking Life
We should always be aware of the power of our words. Children have been destroyed by the harsh accusatory words of a parent. The reverse is also true. Words of love and affirmation can build destinies and nations
We need to not only set a guard on the words we say but also set an armed guard on the words we think.
I have tried to call back words many times in my life. It can’t be done. Rather than live regretting the pain we’ve caused, learn to change the words and change the outcome. Measure both value and benefit from every word before we speak.
The devil is a liar. He presents beautiful distractions at every turn. Things so lovely we think they must be from God. Of course they’re not. The devil overplays his hand. Always. Too lovely.. Too perfect. Too encumbered with compromise and rebellion. Stay far from his plunder. Its price tag is your soul.
Positive thinking is embraced by the world. In fact, the world takes many biblical truths, acknowledges the wisdom, and then, with arrogance and power plays, tries to twist and manipulate God’s words into a financial resource. The world still has many Saducees and Pharisees.
It’s all about focus. When we focus on negative news, when we believe the lies of the world, we can easily lose our hope. God is truth. He loves us. His promises are Yes and Amen. Always. Forever. Faith is our shield. No matter what is going on in the world. Trust God!
Father God, Here I am again, thanking You for Your love, grace and second chances. I have a grateful heart that no matter how many times I backslide or stumble, You hold me close, You forgive me and You pour out forgiveness. Again. Help me, Lord, to use good words, building words, loving words that bless people and lead them to their best goals. May I never be the reason anyone loses their Salvation or abandons their life calling.
…not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
