To trust God in spite of circumstances requires absolute and blind faith. It’s when we have prayed, communicated, listened and heard His voice, when we know that we know He is with us, that at last His love and protection come to our minds first. Before fear. Before panic and a show of unbelief. It is in that moment we can withstand the storm, the wind and the world. The world gives other options. The “it takes a village” thing can seem innocent, even helpful. But is it? There sure are a lot of people out there right now I do NOT want in my children’s village. I do not want them near my children.
It was an evil move when Madalyn Murray O’Hair got prayer thrown out of schools. Now that same attitude is attempting to take authority away from parents and allow schools and government agencies to become that mythical village that was better off living in Hillary’s head. Governments run trillions of dollars in debt. They buy thousand-dollar toilet seats and their poor financial decisions would baffle a five-year-old. No one should ever trust their child to be trained or cared for by these people. Allowing birth control or gender decisions to be ruled by a congress that honestly believes it is fair to destroy female sports by allowing males to dominate and bully the results, is absurd. Logic has vanished. We don’t all have to think alike! How boring. How slavishly tedious.
Father God, Please hear this prayer. Confusion reigns on earth. Change is cultural and can usually be counted on to define progress. But sometimes it makes no sense. And when it is illogical, we have to be honest enough to admit it. Remember, Lord, the story of the Emperor’s New Clothes? Help us understand these untested, unresearched and unbelievable theories are naked. You have taught Your people to love, to be tolerant and to reject sin but not sinners. Now, the media calls us homophobic, racist and cruel. Not true. We ask, God, for a ready defense. Let our love shine so we can defeat this attack. Defend us outrageously Oh, God.
We wear ourselves out doing physical labor. When people verbally abuse us, we bless them. When people persecute us, we endure it. 1 Corinthians 4:12
