We should be aware God is out of fashion. This computer I am writing on will not even spell God unless I force the issue. Which means, if we love God and we want to write concerning a Christian life, we must be aggressive. Also, please add God to your Microsoft Word dictionary.

Challenging times come and go. Those who routinely turn to God when troubles arrive, tend to do better. Remember Covid-19? It was a challenging time. Forced masking. Closed schools. Mandatory vaccines. Some of these changes hung around longer than we wanted and other things never went back to pre-pandemic levels. Many decisions were made into laws without understanding their full impact. It will take years of research to satisfy future protocols.

God, on the other hand, stayed pretty calm. Many churches held services. God fulfills every promise, His love for us is without remorse, His great love is higher, wider, deeper than anything the enemy possesses and He is not a man that He should lie. Trust the Bible. Trust in its magnificent Truth.

When our hearts are focused on Him, we keep a positive outlook. He keeps us safe through life’s journey. We do not look left or right. Left and right is the world, the lure, the pull, the attractive trouble. Straight ahead is wisdom. God preserves our destiny.

Father God, I am grateful for You in my life. I take comfort in trusting You more than the evening news, the sound bites on the car radio, and the drivel that poses as truth on social media. Help me rely on Your truth as the truth, knowing You will always make the difference clear.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
