The thoughts and opinions of others should never cause us to deny this Lord who loves us so. But sometimes we remain silent when groups or individuals blaspheme His name or they mock His followers. Sometimes it is a crude joke or a blanket statement disrespecting Christians. We walk away, knowing we should have spoken up, should have defended our sweet Jesus. Confrontation is not easy. We feel that same guilt and humiliation Peter felt when that rooster crowed. Lord, give me strength to never cease speaking up on Your behalf!

Human emotions can feel overwhelming. Fear. Worry. We are manipulated by a biased media. There are powers in the media determined to keep us off balance, dependent, fearful. To be reignited daily by God’s love, His protection and His intense good will for us and our lives is as imperative as the air we breathe, the food we eat, and every other human need. We must remind ourselves daily or even several times a day that God walks beside us and He holds us safe and loved.

Pay no attention to other’s opinions about who you are and what you believe. They’re not describing you out of knowledge but rather out of rumor and gossip. Follow God. Talk to God. He knows every hair on your head and He know exactly who you are. Walk with Him into eternity.

Lord, You are the light I follow, the food that makes me never hunger again. You are wisdom, truth and a love so dear it takes my breath away. Help me live with exceptional faith, loving God, loving my fellow man and always trusting Heaven’s divine judgment.

Stand Firm

But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:13
