What a joy to know God is involved in every aspect of our lives. Even when an enemy comes against us, lying and accusing, God turns every lie around against the accuser. He is our protector, our rescuer and our advocate! Who should we ever fear when we are covered by such a faithful protector?

And this is how we benefit from trusting God. His view of the future is flawless. He longs to bless us in all things. When we grow impatient and go our own way, we miss all the bounty and blessings He had planned to give us. This doesn’t mean He turns away and leaves us. It means He is generous in granting us free will.

Joseph, who we discussed yesterday, lived a life of complete trust in God. His life teaches us so much: patience, trust, forgiveness, and reward. Seeing the depth of planning involved, we praise God in hard times and good times. And we never fail to believe God keeps His every promise.

Even when we do not know it, see it, or understand the power of God working in our lives, He never fails. His promises always prove true, no matter the time it takes. Once we become a member of God’s family, we never walk alone.

Father, I thank You for loving me and generously inviting me into Your family. You took the time to graft me into the tree that was originally designed for Abraham’s children. Now You are my protector and my friend and I will willingly serve and adore You all the days of my life.

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Romans 8:16
