Our lives are orchestrated by the Master of all time, God Himself. When we take control and try to manage everything on our own, we fail more than we succeed. God works in orderly ways, never rushed and never surprised. He prepares us for what is coming. Trust His divine authority and preparation.

Once we understand what God wants us to accomplish in life, we need a plan to get there. Organized thoughts lead to reachable goals. Goals ignite our lives. Each success builds confidence.

If God’s gifts to us are love, grace and provision, our best gift to God is Discipline. Discipline is the way we form good habits and carve a path to obeying God’s will. To sway left or right, to compromise His will and edge closer to sin and self-will, is to put our life’s call and our destiny in jeopardy.

Change is difficult. These are good words to remember. Change just one thing at a time, whenever possible. Focus on that one thing. See the change. Imagine it. Each victory gives us faith for the next change. There is a spirit of rebellion in thinking we can or should do things without God. He equips us for every challenge. Believing success is all up to us is kryptonite to our destiny.

When we listen for God’s voice, there are endless and thrilling opportunities waiting for us to explore. Neither age nor health nor education stops us. We’ve been equipped with everything we need.

Oh Lord God, I am so sorry for the times I have gone running off with an idea, forgetting to pray over it with You, so full of idealism and arrogance I don’t stop to think it might not be what You have called me to do. Help me listen for Your voice. Let me always prefer Your will over my own. Thank You, God, for making me a part of Your plan in this wonderful world.
