God is everywhere. He sees the wars, diseases and natural disasters. When we read or view world news, we see people who are not enjoying the blessings we’ve been given. Make no mistake, many of them are Christians. We have favor because we hold an influential place in this world. Remember, those to whom much is given, much will be required. We have an incredible opportunity to be world changers, and we should not waste such a rich blessing.

There are many ways we can use our influence. Time. Money. Creativity. Being alert to God’s bounty and favor can enrich many lives. We can share our blessings. We can exhort, uplift and help people in struggling nations.

The same God who paints a brilliant sunset across the sky at the end of the day, can use our funds to dig wells in Africa, wells that provide safe, clean water in village after village. God loves the world and He is whispering ideas, aha moments, and affirmations of His love to all who hear His voice. When we see world suffering, we need to pray. God will hear and He will answer.

We should never be the kind of Christian who only talks to God when we are in fear or need of something for ourselves. When we hear sirens, we should pray. When we see disasters anywhere on the planet, pray. We can move about this world as God’s hands and feet, helping supply answers to prayer.

God, there is so much to do in this world. Hurting people, diseases, wars and earthquakes. In America, we are free to attend churches. In many nations Christianity is not allowed. There are still martyrs in many countries. Help us pray continually that those who are sick, hurt or hungry, those who are hiding or on the run from enemies, have all prayers answered. I repent for the times I turned away from sad news and didn’t even pray. Forgive me.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16
