We have so much power given to us by God. Jesus said, “These things and more will you do!” But because miracles, healings and mountain moving are outside the “science” we’ve been taught, we are encouraged to believe the world’s position and dismiss God’s power! The kind of faith it takes to move a mountain is defeated by our rational thinking. We never saw Jesus move a mountain, but we saw Him feed thousands with two fish and a bit of bread. While I would have to fight a lot of doubt to bring Mt Rainier to my back yard, I know I can hand a difficult problem to God and He will move on my behalf.
Things will go wrong in life. Jobs can be lost, natural disasters hit, and financial reversals threaten. Tires go flat, appliances break and health issues arise. This is where a living faith in God comes in. We walk with Him. We should be so steeped in the Word that we automatically hand our problems to God instead of surrendering to fear and failure. This is where peace dwells. God is with us. We need to be creative, trust Him, and perhaps pause to see what happens next. The world says we need to rise to the occasion, fix things ourselves or accept failure. Our comfort is in not being alone. If God is with us during blessings, He is with us in troubled times as well. Once we accept this loving Father’s participation in our lives, the road becomes much smoother.
Lord God, Thank You for walking through this life with me. Thank You, that praise and worship encourage me, that I am lifted daily and I love spending time in Your Presence. I am grateful You called me to a life of faith, that I discovered the Bible and have been blessed to surrender into Your love. Help me to remember I am never alone. Oh Lord, Thank You for the Holy Spirit, for quiet times, for inspiration, revelation and miracles. Life with You is life with joy. Thank You, for all You give.
Faith Directed People’s Lives
Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see. God accepted our ancestors because of their faith. Faith convinces us that God created the world through his word. This means what can be seen was made by something that could not be seen. ... Hebrews 11
