Living in Vulnerability

There is something about moving into a mindset of complete vulnerability that opens a world of spirituality I have never experienced before.  It feels incredibly free even though on the surface it simply looks like a new kind of failure.  You say what you feel. No matter what reaction might come at you.  You demolish the ego that makes us tell white lies, that makes us hide our true feelings and that keeps people at arm’s length.

The flaw in this is if you are not in prayer daily, if you are not standing in the gap for everyone, friend and foe alike, you will miss the point and the blessing.  If you are praying for those with whom you might have personal issues, you will soon feel God’s healing and love covering that relationship.  Therefore speaking your heart to them will never be hurtful.  You are asking God to bless everything they touch, their projects, their families and their goals.

There can be no danger in showing vulnerability when you speak love. Allowing God’s love to pour out makes you a vessel of redemption.  I am in a place where my heart is in complete surrender to God’s will in my life.  He has asked me to personally tell everyone in my life how I love them and what I admire about them.  Sometimes it feels over the top to me, too personal.  But I always remember God knows exactly what we all need to hear and we must be brave enough to obey what He asks us to say.
